Alexa Marie Carvajal is honored to represent the Floresville Peanut Festival Association as Queen Tunaep-elect LXVII of the Court of Mystical Magical Universe.

Alexa is the 17-year-old daughter of Dominic and Delaine Carvajal. Her two sisters are Carmela, 19, and Francesca, 14. Alexa’s proud maternal grandparents are Velva of Adkins and the late Milton Arlitt, and paternal grandparents are Oscar and Norma Carvajal of Floresville.

Alexa, a senior at Floresville High School, is a member of the National Honor Society, the Leo Club, the American Red Cross Association, and the Student Council. She is part of the Work Based Learning Program and takes dual credit classes, working at her mother’s store, Friends and Co., and at her father’s law firm. She is a member of the Floresville Sacred Heart Church.

Following graduation, Alexa plans to attend college and major in science in pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree and later pursue a career as an orthodontist.

She hopes to one day open up her own private practice right here in the town of Floresville.

Alexa extends her utmost gratitude to Garrett Pollok for his acceptance in escorting her as King Reboog-elect LXVII. And a special thank you to her seamstress, Lorraine Young, for all her hard work, heart, and dedication that she has put into making Alexa’s gown absolutely beautiful. She would also like to give a big thank you to Peanut Festival Association President Audrey Clements for all her time and effort.

Alexa would also like to thank her family for their love, support, and their unwavering dedication. And a special thanks to a very special woman that has helped her keep everything organized, her loving mother, for all the time she has spent planning events, keeping track of the dates, and making it possible for them to have a successful year.

Being queen-elect of the 67th annual Peanut Festival is a unique opportunity and a blessing that Alexa will forever cherish. She is looking forward to fulfilling her responsibilities as queen, and representing the city along with her court and children’s court throughout the state of Texas.

Alexa extends an invitation to the public to join in this year’s annual Peanut Festival activities.
