1917-2011

Neva Delores Bollman, 94, died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011, in the John Paul II Nursing Home in Kenedy, Texas, where she had been a resident since May 2007. Neva was born in College Hill, Mo., on Sept. 26, 1917, the daughter of Henry Clay and Maymie (Smith) Branson.

She grew up in the College Hill community, and was a longtime resident of Bland, Mo. On Jan. 13, 1940, she was married to Edwin Bollman, and to this union three sons were born.

Neva was a past member of the Bland Lioness Club and the First Baptist Church in Bland. She and Edwin owned and operated a trucking company, serving the Belle and Bland communities for many years. In 1995, Edwin and Neva moved to Texas to be near their sons and grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Edwin; two sons, Eddie and Ralph Bollman; and a brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Mildred Branson.

Surviving Neva are one son, Ken Bollman and wife Lou of Falls City; a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Wehmeyer Bollman of Falls City; her granddaughters, Lori Ann Bollman of Coppell, Christy Blocker and husband Vernon and Shelly Gorzell and husband Henry Jr., all of Falls City, Jackie Watson of Austin, and Trish Bollman and husband Yan of San Diego, Calif.; two stepgranddaughters, Jerri Lynn Leith and husband Flake of Hockley and Jamie Zen Watts and husband Clay of Lebanon, Mo.; nine great-grandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren. She is also survived by nieces Sue Cole of Bland and Georgia Elberson of Marshall, Ark.; and three nephews, Terry Bollman, Robert Bollman, and Homer Bollman Jr., all of Edwardsville, Ill.

A graveside service was held Sunday, Oct. 2, in the Bland Cemetery in Bland, Mo.
