I am a 6th generation neice of the Great Composer Frederic Chopin. I was born in San Antonio, Texas, graduated from Harlandale High School, and received my Bachelorʼs Degree from SWT, San Marcos, Texas. I play the piano (love Classical), bass guitar, love genealogy, and a passionate quilter. I have numerous ribbons from San Antonio, New Braunfels, and Tucson, Arizona Shows. I have been married to my soul mate for 16 years. We met at the age of 9 (lived on the same street and graduated together) but did not connect until 1996. I was living in Sterling, VA and he decided he would try to find me and did, and life has been wonderful since. I am truly blessed.

I always knew that I would be a career woman before it became so popular because I came from a very different family. My Mother and her sisters had college degrees in the early 1930ʻs. There were many many heated political discussions around our “kitchen” table between my parents when I was growing up. After high school graduation, I worked in the private sector for 5 years before accepting a position with the Federal Government in 1966. I began my career at Kelly AFB as a GS-02 Temporary and worked my way up the highly politically charged ladder to a GS-14. During my 33 years with the Federal Government I worked in 5 Career Fields - Contracting, Logistics (Chief of the Communications Equipment for the Air Force); Budget; Systems Manager, and Program Manager for over-reaching DOD level contract for Information Security in Washington DC. I have a very in-depth background and understanding of how our Federal Government is structured and how the political aspect affects their ability to function as a viable “Organization.”

I was raised during a time when the work ethic was much different than it is now, so my opinions and perspective on life and where America is now is very different than those individuals who were born after 1964. I like to say that for my generation, Forrest Gump depicts our journey in life. We were 2 years ahead of the Baby Boomers, did not partake of the drug culture, had Prayer and God in our daily lives and in schools. Life was not easy, but those struggles have aided in molding and shaping my beliefs. I have always loved Politics, and guess one would now call me a Political Junkie. Our beloved Country is really in trouble and I feel that it is important for every adult needs to be aware of what is going on. My Blog will try to provide a “quick” look at what is going on in politics each week as we become closer and closer to the 2012 Election. I will let all know that I am A SOLID CONSERVATIVE. I hope that you will enjoy the information I try to provide and spark an interest in politics in each and every one who takes the time to read it.
