The Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA) will host a ranch gathering on Friday, Oct. 14, at RY Livestock Sales, located at 12 Livestock Road in Rio Grande City. The gathering will begin at 5:30 p.m. with registration followed by a beef dinner and presentations.

The event will include a presentation on theft issues along the Texas-Mexico border by TSCRA Special Ranger Roland Garcia.

Officials with the United States Department of Agriculture Farm Service Agency will also inform attendees on government grant programs for ranchers who lost livestock and fences during the recent drought.

The event is open to the public.

For registration and more information, contact Nancy Shearer at 800-242-7820, ext. 192, or rsvp@tscra.org.
