ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Offer condolences


Sharon Lee Jenschke, 63, of Poteet, Texas, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011, in Poteet. Jenschke was born June 27, 1948, to Adolph and Mary Schneider.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Anthony Casey and George William Schneider.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Daniel Jenschke; her daughters, Stephanie Holdcroft and husband Brad, Elizabeth Vyvlecka and husband Greg, and Kathryn Jenschke; her sons, Stephen Jenschke and wife Shawnna and Christopher Jenschke and wife Crissy; her sisters, Cynthia Farrer and Rita Schimelpfening and husband Bob; and her brother, Phillip Schneider and wife Debra. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, Wyatt, Dylan, Lyndsay, Myles, Benjamin, Tyler, Ryan, Derek, Victoria, Hayden, Peyton, Garrison, and Drake.

Visitation was held Friday, Oct. 7, from 2-9 p.m. in the Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton, with a rosary recited at 7 p.m.

A funeral service was held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church in Poteet.

Interment followed in the St. Matthew Catholic Cemetery in Jourdanton.

Serving as pallbearers were Jimbo Daughtrey, Jon Schneider, Ron Korczynski, Casey Schneider II, Jay Jenschke, and Brad Jenschke.
