Celia Mae Sullivan, 88, of Seguin, Texas, and formerly of Nixon, died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011. She was born in Wilson County on July 27, 1923.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Floyd and Susan Mildred (Coleman) Milner; her first husband, William C. Thomas in 1968; her second husband, Roy Sullivan in 1986; and her brother, Slim Milner.

Celia is survived by her son, William Leon Thomas and wife Mary of Seguin; her daughter, Betty Faye Pape and husband Dale of Seguin; four grandchildren, James Floyd Thomas and wife Laurie, Cheryle Renee Soizzi and husband Ron, Lanette Ann Pape, and Arthur Roland Pape; and six great-grandchildren, Ryann Scott Soizzi, Christina Rachell Soizzi, William Z. Thomas, Spencer Ryann Cape, Mary Grace Thomas, and Katie Beth Thomas; as well as other relatives and many close friends.

Visitation was held Wednesday, Oct. 19, from 5-8 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon.

A funeral service was held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

Interment followed in the Stockdale Cemetery in Stockdale.

Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
