Stockdale athletes run in Poth meet

POTH -- The Stockdale cross-country teams participated in the Poth meet Oct. 15.

In the varsity boys division, Stockdale finished in sixth place. Ethan Chavez led the Brahmas with his time of 18:56, followed by Perry Bone at 19:34, Tristan Marquez at 19:45, and Jordan Jackson at 20:05. Michael Opela finished the course in a time of 21:12, and Will Morris ran it in 21:31. Sarah Holguin led the varsity girls with a time of 14:06, followed by Samantha Jones at 16:42, and Lacey Dugi with a time of 16:42.

In seventh-grade boys competition, Joel Marquez finished in second place with a time of 12:33. Joshua Rangel ran the course in 13:24, Joseph Bustamante did it in 14:54, and Mark Salinas was a second back at 14:55.

In the seventh-grade girls division, Kirsten Daniels finished in seventh place with a time of 14:56. Samuel Scriven finished with a time of 14:36 in the eighth-grade boys division.
