STOCKDALE -- After grinding to a halt earlier this month, the Stockdale Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is set to resume operation at 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 31, according to EMS Director David Rice.

Three new members, each of whom lives locally and possesses the necessary certifications to volunteer, have joined Stockdale EMS in recent days, Rice said. Additional volunteers are being sought, and classes will soon open for emergency care assistant and emergency medical technician training.

Rice appealed to anyone who already possesses such qualifications to volunteer with his or her local EMS squad.
