1933-2011

Emilia Vazquez Ibarra passed away Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011, in Floresville, Texas, at the age of 78 years and 5 months. She was born May 18, 1933, in Villa Union, Coahuila, Mexico, the daughter of Damian and Barvarita Vazquez. She was a resident of Floresville and a former resident of Mexico.

Emilia is survived by her husband, Andres Ibarra Sr. of Floresville; her children, Candelaria Ramos, Antonia Sanchez and husband Genaro, Hector Ibarra and wife Olga, Idalia Ibarra, Ma de Jesus Ibarra, Andres Ibarra Jr. and wife Felicitas, Victor Ibarra and wife Tabita, Guadalupe Chavarria and husband Jose M., Leticia Palacios and husband Alberto, Paulo Ibarra, Aralely Martinez and husband Jesus, Angelica Lares and husband Julio Cesar, and Rodrigo Ibarra Ma de Jesus; 33 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held Thursday, Oct. 20, at 5 p.m. in the Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville, with a rosary recited at 7 p.m.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated and burial will be held in Mexico at a later date.
