FLORESVILLE -- Engaging students in math, science, social studies, language arts, and team-building is Floresville Independent School District’s (ISD) primary focus at Camp Honey Creek, which offers students the opportunity to participate in experiences that cannot be replicated in the classroom.

The benefits of Camp Honey Creek are endless. Fifth-grade students from Floresville ISD explore the wonders of science through hands-on lab activities in the areas of aquatic study, the changing earth, owl habitats, adaptations of animal and plant life, team-building games, astronomy, a geo-caching treasure hunt, night activities, and much more. All Floresville fifth-graders from both the North and South elementary campuses will enjoy this three-day, two-night camping trip during the weeks beginning Nov. 7 and 14.

Contributions toward the cost of the camp are welcomed. Donations are tax-deductible.

For more information or to contribute, contact Pam Ray at 830-393-5300, ext. 1007, or Donations may be sent to Floresville ISD, Attn: Outdoor Learning, 1200 Fifth St., Floresville, TX 78114.
