POTH -- Police here are investigating two vehicle burglaries and one vehicle theft that occurred before 5 a.m. Nov. 8. Sgt. Troy Phillips of the Poth Police Department believes the incidents could be connected, because of the close proximity of the three crime scenes.

A Sandy Street resident called police to report that his silver 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier coupe had been stolen from outside his home. Phillips said police later found the vehicle on the Poth High School football field.

Another Sandy Street resident, along with a Sombra Street resident, reported that their cars had been broken into. Phillips said it is yet unknown whether anything was stolen.

Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to call the Poth Police De-partment at 830-484-0281 or Crime Stoppers of Wilson County at 830-393-INFO (4636). All Crime Stoppers tips remain anonymous, and are eligible for a cash reward if an arrest is made.
