Adela Serbin Gardner, 64, of Stockdale, Texas, died Monday, Oct. 31, 2011. Adela was born in Stockdale on Jan. 30, 1946, to Gomesindo and Oralia Rodriguez Serbin. She was a health-care giver and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Adela is survived by her sons, Gordon Gardner and Joseph William Gardner Sr.; her grandchildren, Joseph William Gardner Jr., Corbin Lee Gardner, Issac Gardner, Dylan Caddel, Gordon Gardner III, and Madison Gardner; her great-grandchildren, Aiden Caddel and Christine Manning; her sisters, Mary Tristan, Gloria Rodriguez, Annie Offer, and Lydia Serbin; brothers Gomer Serbin, Alex Serbin, and Jesse Lewis Serbin; and numerous nieces, nephews, and adopted children.

A memorial service was held Friday, Nov. 4, at 10 a.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in Stockdale, with the Rev. Dennis Jarzombek officiating.

Memorial donations may be given to the family.
