Karnes/Wilson Juvenile Probation Department is seeking the following positions: Juvenile Probation Officer: Must be degreed in Criminal Justice or related field with experience working with children and parents. Position is year round supervising juvenile offenders, making recommendations to court, curfew checks, and being on call. Attendance/Juvenile Probation Officer: Must be degreed in Criminal Justice or related field with experience working with children and parents. The Attendance Officer works same hours as the school districts providing prevention services to children and parents who have issues with truancy. Juvenile Probation Officer will manage a small caseload of juvenile offenders making recommendations to court, curfew checks, and being on call. Position is year round.  Individual must be versatile and able to separate prevention from intervention skills. Prevention Specialist: Position acts as a drill instructor within the environment of the Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program (JJAEP). Follows JJAEP school calendar. This is a quasi-military program, so prior military experience a plus. Degreed individual preferred with experience working with children. Must be a Juvenile Supervision Officer or be able to obtain the certification. Administrative Prevention Specialist: Position acts as a drill instructor but takes on administrative assistant role to the Assistant Chief within the Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program (JJAEP). Position will include direct contact with the child and parent. Must be a Juvenile Supervision Officer or able to obtain. Prefer degreed individual. Must have knowledge of military procedures. Ralph and Bonnie Lerma of Stockdale, Texas, are proud to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Amy Leann, to Tanner Lee Voelkel, the son of Pete and Kathy Voelkel of Stockdale. Tanner is also the son of the late Denise Voelkel, formerly of Stockdale.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late John and Esperanza “Patti” Lerma, formerly of Stockdale, and Geneva Soto of Stockdale and the late Johnny Soto.

The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Hubert and Alice Voelkel, formerly of Nordheim, and John and Shirley Dudley of Stockdale.

The couple will wed Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011, in St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Kosciusko, with Father Dennis Jarzombek officiating.

Peter Kane and Liz Urbanczyk will provide the nuptial music.

Robin Polasek will serve as Amy’s maid of honor. Serving as bridesmaids are Patti Lerma, Tara Voelkel, Rhea Rutland, Dusty Wehmeyer, and Mckenzie Voelkel. Brenna Baggs will be the junior bridesmaid.

C.T. Kilgore will serve as Tanner’s best man. Serving as groomsmen are B.J. Voelkel, Colby Baggs, Jason Pawelek, Scott Pruski, and Zach Thompson; and Trentyn Voelkel will be the junior groomsman.

Sydney Drzymala and Exavior Soto will serve as flower girl and ring bearer, respectively.

A reception will be held in the Kosciusko Hall in Kosciusko.

After a honeymoon in downtown San Antonio, the couple will reside in Stockdale.
