HAVA Returns to San Antonio for Its 4th Annual National Family Day
SAN ANTONIO, Tex. (November 10, 2011) -- The Honored American Veterans Afield (HAVA) organization is returning to the National Shooting Complex in NW San Antonio to host its 4th Annual HAVA National Family Day, Nov. 14. At the National Family Day, wounded warriors--both veterans and active duty--and their families will have the opportunity to experience the best the outdoor and shooting industry has to offer.
Registration begins at 10 a.m., and each veteran will receive an equipment gift bag full of prizes, supplies and accessories. Shortly thereafter, shotgun exhibition shooters Mark Weeks and Haley Dunn of the USA Shooting Team will wow the crowd with their exceptional shotgun shooting skills. Weeks is also a member of the U.S. Army Marksmanship Team.
After lunch, the veterans and their families will be able to demo a wide variety of firearms from the leading manufacturers, and they will be able to participate in several shooting events like the new 3-gun action shooting stages. There will even be an air-soft shooting area for the kids.
The Veterans of Foreign Wars-District 20 will provide lunch and dinner as well as range support. The National Shooting Complex is located at 5931 Roft Road, San Antonio, TX 78253.
HAVA is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was formed by companies in the shooting and outdoor industry with the purpose of raising awareness and further assisting disabled soldiers and veterans with their healing process through hunts, shooting sports and other active outdoor sports activities.
