Dr. Jane E. Finegan passed away Sunday, Nov. 6, 2011, in Floresville, Texas, at the age of 51. She was born in Dallas March 16, 1960.

A native of Dallas and formerly of Bryan, she was a Floresville resident for the past three years.

Jane had a Ph.D. and was a college and university professor.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Barbazon Finegan.

Survivors include her father, James W. Finegan of Hilltop Lakes; a son, David Anthony Finegan of Floresville; a sister, Alice Finegan of Floresville; brothers James Finegan of Marble Falls, John Finegan of Floresville, and Joseph Finegan of Castle Rock, Colo.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A rosary was recited Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 6:30 p.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville, followed by a Mass at 7 p.m., celebrated by Father Phil Henning.

Interment was Saturday at 9 a.m. in Dallas in the Dignity Calvary Hill Cemetery.
