FLORESVILLE -- The Floresville Wildcats and Floresville High School will host a round of playoff games this Saturday, Nov. 19, at Eschenburg Field, as the teams begin their quest for a state championship.

The Wildcats Rookies team is the No. 8 seed, and will be taking on the No. 9-seeded Capital City Tigers from Austin. Kickoff is set for 10 a.m.

The Rookies’ game will be followed by a game between the Wildcats Midgets, the No. 6 seed, and the No. 11 RGV Snipers from Edinburg. This game is scheduled to begin at noon.

Next up will be the Wildcats Flag team, and the No. 2-seeded group will square off with the Mission Mustangs, the league’s No. 15-seeded team. That contest has a scheduled kickoff time of 2 p.m.

The Wildcats would appreciate everyone coming out to show support for these teams and cheer them on to victory! Floresville will also host two Division II games. In flag competition, the Brush Country Rattlers will face the South Texas Mudd Dawgs at 3:30 p.m., and another Brush Country team will face the La Vernia Grizzlies in Midgets competition at 5:30 p.m.
