Patrolman Matthew Redd of the Floresville Police Department copies the license-plate number of a Buick Enclave that was involved Nov. 21 in a crash at the intersection of Hospital Blvd. and U.S. 181 in Floresville. Police believe the vehicle was traveling southbound on U.S. 181 when it collided with a trailer being towed by a pickup truck. A woman and child traveling in the Buick were transported via ambulance to the Connally Memorial Medical Center. No further details were available at this time. We desperately need a traffic light at this terribly busy intersection. With the huge oil/gas industry- related trucks plus other big trucks added to the regular traffic, it is a nightmare to get onto U. S. 181 now from SH 97 West/Hospital Blvd., especially if the person is heading north on 181. The line to get onto 181 can be backed up passed F Street. In the morning when the suns shines, blinding people, it is even more difficult to see the traffic coming over the hill from the direction of Poth. A traffic light can not be put there too soon! I pray nothing terrible happens before a traffic light is put there.
