Sara Ryan Williams, 89, of Schertz, Texas, and formerly of Gillett, died Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011. Sara was born in Gillett to Charles Wesley and Corrine Izor Mixon Ryan on May 11, 1922.

Sara worked as a caregiver for many years and was a member of the Gillett Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Milton H. “Milt” Williams; a son, Glen Carl Denson; her sister, Edith Moravits; and two brothers, Demand Ryan and Dwight Ryan.

Sara is survived by her son, Charles Donald Denson and wife Marion of St. Hedwig; her grandchildren, Debra Denson Whitehead and husband Charles of Fort Worth and Kurt Wade Denson and wife Lisa of La Vernia; great-grandchildren Tyler Charles Denson and Braeden Beau Denson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation was held Tuesday, Nov. 22, from 6-8 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the funeral chapel with the Rev. Robert Garland officiating.

Interment will follow in the Nixon Cemetery in Nixon.
