Donald E. Karlquist Jr. passed away Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011, in Floresville, Texas. He was born April 29, 1948, in Schenectady, N.Y.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Karlquist Sr. and brothers Eric Karlquist and Rick Terry.

Donald is survived by his wife, Twyla Burns of Floresville; his children, Sara Woods and husband Craig, Eugene Thornton and wife Miste, and Ryan Withem, all of Floresville; his sisters, Sara Terry of Columbus, Ohio, and Lynann Campbell and husband Mark of Circleville, Ohio; and sisters-in-law Kay Karlquist of Columbus, Nancy Terry of Columbus, and Carolyn Burns of Austin. He is also survived by grandchildren Robert Burns, Jacquelyn Woods, Faythe Woods, William Woods, and Emma Thornton, all of Floresville, and Tryston Thornton of Newark, Ohio; and nieces and nephews Andy and Leslee Campbell of Circleville.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, Nov. 26, at 4 p.m. in the Floresville River Park west of Floresville.
