1930-2011

Warren Clayton Vasbinder, 81, passed away Sunday, Nov. 13, 2011. He was born Feb. 7, 1930, the son of Murray Vasbinder and Helen Blandford.

W.C. served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Jack Vasbinder, James Vasbinder, and Billy Vasbinder.

Survivors include his loving daughters, Helen M. Epstein and husband Norman and Karen J. Gonzales and husband Richard; his beloved partner, Clara Krueger and her son Chris and family; his sister, Anita Champaign; sister-in-law Irene Vasbinder; three grandchildren, Nathan Middleton and wife Sarah, Jacob Middleton, and Taylor Story; one great-granddaughter, Emma Kai Middleton; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

W.C. loved his family. He will be missed by all but especially by his daughters, grandsons, and great-granddaughter, his family said.

A graveside service was held Saturday, Nov. 19, at 10:30 a.m. in the Cover Cemetery in Bexar County.

Memorial donations may be made to the San Antonio Wounded Warriors Project, 12672 Silicon Drive, Suite 105, San Antonio, TX 78249.
