CORPUS CHRISTI -- On Oct. 25, the Falls City varsity girls and junior high cross-country teams competed at the district meet in West Guth Park in Corpus Christi. These athletes did an outstanding job representing the school, and many were fortunate to medal in the top 10.

The varsity girls team, which consists of Taylor Dziuk, Kayla Kotara, Shaw Moy, Katie Pollok, and Emily Wiatrek, placed third as a team, which advanced them to the regional meet held in San Antonio Nov. 5. Among these girls, Dziuk received a third-place medal.

The junior high girls and boys teams also had a successful day. Both girls and boys placed second as a team. The girls team is made up of Sydney Elkins, Sara Moore, Taylor Dziuk, Hanna Foster, and Jordan Lyssy. Out of these girls, Elkins, Moore, Dziuk, and Foster received medals for finishing in the top 10.

The boys team consists of Jake Dziuk, Gabe Jimerson, Kaleb Hons, Joseph Swierc, Mark Hons, and Santos Ramirez. Swierc placed in the top 10 with a fourth-place medal.
