Karnes/Wilson Juvenile Probation Department is seeking the following positions: Juvenile Probation Officer: Must be degreed in Criminal Justice or related field with experience working with children and parents. Position is year round supervising juvenile offenders, making recommendations to court, curfew checks, and being on call. Attendance/Juvenile Probation Officer: Must be degreed in Criminal Justice or related field with experience working with children and parents. The Attendance Officer works same hours as the school districts providing prevention services to children and parents who have issues with truancy. Juvenile Probation Officer will manage a small caseload of juvenile offenders making recommendations to court, curfew checks, and being on call. Position is year round.  Individual must be versatile and able to separate prevention from intervention skills. Prevention Specialist: Position acts as a drill instructor within the environment of the Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program (JJAEP). Follows JJAEP school calendar. This is a quasi-military program, so prior military experience a plus. Degreed individual preferred with experience working with children. Must be a Juvenile Supervision Officer or be able to obtain the certification. Administrative Prevention Specialist: Position acts as a drill instructor but takes on administrative assistant role to the Assistant Chief within the Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program (JJAEP). Position will include direct contact with the child and parent. Must be a Juvenile Supervision Officer or able to obtain. Prefer degreed individual. Must have knowledge of military procedures. Elizabeth Buesing Cameron went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Nov. 13, 2011, in Woodville, Texas, at the age of 85 years, 6 months, and 15 days. Elizabeth was born in Hallettsville on April 30, 1926, to Anton Theodore and Carrie Buesing. She was a resident of Woodville and a former resident of Floresville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Lillie Warren, Edna Gorman, and Flossie Ely; and her brothers, Alfred Buesing and Alvin Buesing.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband, A. C. “Skeet” Cameron of Woodville; and her children, Linda Burnett and husband Todd of Manvel, Arlene Franklin and husband Charles of Floresville, Mollie Wilson of Woodville, Cecil Cameron and wife Debbie of Colmesniel, and Dale Cameron of New Mexico. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Sandra Powell of Alvin, Chad Burnett of La Porte, Boyd Littlefield of Floresville, Charlie Franklin of Floresville, Laura Swanson of Maryland, Brandon Cameron, Gary Cameron, Carrie Cameron, and Missy Payne, all of Colmesniel, and Gaylon, Amanda, and Wesley Cameron; her brother, Jimmy Buesing and wife Rosemary of Port Lavaca; 23 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held Wednesday, Nov. 16, at 9 a.m. in the Franklin Funeral Home in Floresville.

A funeral service was held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Buddy Murphrey officiating.

Interment followed in the Sutherland Springs Cemetery in Sutherland Springs.

Serving as pallbearers were Boyd Littlefield, Charlie Franklin, Chad Burnett, William Ely, Allie Littlefield, Austin Littlefield, Tyler Powell, and Hunter Powell.
