Very part-time help needed to feed cats, chickens, and horses, Monday-Friday, 2 times per day, morning after dawn but before 9 a.m. for approx. 30-45 minutes and p.m. before dark (summer about 6-8 p.m., winter 4-5 p.m.) for approx. 60-90 minutes. Suitable for someone who lives near location, which is exactly halfway between New Berlin and La Vernia. No smoking and requires working in all weather conditions. Rebecca Ann Hernandez Salazar, a lifelong resident of Floresville, Texas, entered eternal rest Monday, Nov. 21, 2011, at 1:38 a.m. in the Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, at the age of 52 years, 10 months, and 17 days. Rebecca was born Jan. 4, 1959, in Jourdanton, the daughter of Rosa Zavala and Cirildo Hernandez Sr.

She graduated from Floresville High School and was a cafeteria aide with the Floresville Independent School District. Rebecca married Adolfo Salazar at SPJST in Floresville. She was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her father, Cirildo Hernandez Sr.

Rebecca is survived by her husband, Adolfo Salazar of Floresville; her children, Melissa Martinez of Floresville, Valentin Martinez Jr. of Floresville, and Marcy Rose Martinez of San Antonio; her stepdaughter, Tatianna Salazar of Austin; her mother, Rosa Cantu of Floresville; her brothers, Freddy Hernandez Sr. of Floresville and Cirildo Hernandez Jr. and wife Janie of Fairmont, Minn.; and her sisters, Hope Garay and husband Juan of Floresville, Charlotte Trinidad and husband Leandro of Denver City, and Bertha Cantu of San Antonio. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ashley Hinojosa of San Antonio, Danielle Delgado, Mary Jane Celen Martinez, Elijio Martinez, and Elijah Martinez, all of Floresville, and Klarissa Zapata of San Antonio; and her stepgranddaughter, Hope Zapata of San Antonio.

Visitation was held Tuesday, Nov. 22, at 5 p.m. in the Vinyard Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville, with a rosary recited at 7 p.m.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville, officiated by Father Phillip Henning.

Interment followed in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Floresville.

Serving as pallbearers were Domingo Trinidad, Ignacio Hernandez, Gabriel Hernandez, Freddy Hernandez Jr., Leandro Trinidad Jr., and Rocky Trinidad.
