She moved to Karnes City, Texas, soon after and married Jimmie Bednorz. They had two children together, Sharon and Stephen, and later divorced.

Marilyn worked as a Karnes County Deputy County Clerk for 31 years and was an Avon representative for 26 years, earning admission into the President’s Club. She was a participant in the American Cancer Society Relay For Life. Marilyn taught herself cake-decorating and enjoyed making cakes for family and friends’ special occasions.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Malcolm “Bud” Moline.

Marilyn is survived by her mother, Gladys May Moline; her father and stepmother, Willis “Bud” and Norma Beneda; her children, Sharon Bednorz and Stephen Bednorz; and her granddaughter, Megan Pollok. She is also survived by her sisters, Kathryn Beneda, Christine Beneda, Kimberly Hancy and husband Wayne, Jeanne Moline, Pam Peters, and Peggy Hinson; her brother, Robert Moline and wife Pili; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Roxy, the granddog, misses her terribly, as do we all, said her family.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 30, at 10 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church in Karnes City.

Interment will follow in the Panna Maria Cemetery in Panna Maria.
