The U.S. Department of Labor has published a notice of proposed rulemaking to revise child labor regulations for young workers employed in agriculture, according to a Nov. 23 American Soybean Association Leader Letter. Current child labor agricultural regulations have not been updated since 1970. The Department’s goal is to bring parity between the rules for ag employment and the more stringent rules that apply to the employment of children in non-ag workplaces. . . .
