Noninsurable crops closing date nears
Wilson County U.S. Department of Agriculture Farm Service Agency Executive Director Stephen Svacina urges producers who want to purchase coverage through the Noninsurable Crop Disaster Assistance Program to do so before the sales closing date of Thursday, Dec. 1.
The Noninsurable Crop Disaster Assistance Program provides financial assistance to producers of noninsurable crops when low yields/grazing loss, loss of inventory, or prevented planting occur due to normal disasters.
Grazing and forage/hay on native and improved grass are included in the crops that have a Noninsurable Crop Disaster Assistance Program application closing date of Dec. 1.
For more information on sales closing dates, call the Wilson County Farm Service Agency office at 830-393-3411.
