FLORESVILLE -- An effort to recall Floresville Mayor Daniel Tejada and councilmen Jesse Christopher Flores, Mario Morones, Sherry Martinez Castillo, John W. Guerrero, and Johnnie R. Gomez officially has begun, as a recall petition hit the streets Dec. 5.

This petition, organized by Floresville businessman Jim Miller and others, alleges “specific acts and omissions while in office,” specifically, the approval of the 2012 fiscal year budget Aug. 25. The Wilson County News has published several articles challenging the validity of figures contained within the budget, specifically as they relate to actual sales-tax proceeds received from the state comptroller’s office.

Miller invites anyone with questions to contact him at 830-534-5251, or via the “Recall Them All” page on Facebook.

For more, read the Dec. 7 print edition of the Wilson County News.
