Louise Marie Lanning passed away Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, in Floresville, Texas, at the age of 88 years, 11 months, and 22 days. She was born Dec. 6, 1922, in Gilmer to Joseph Robert and Sudie Madora Eddins. Louise was a resident of Floresville for a short time and a former resident of Universal City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald H. Lanning; and her son, Craig R. Lanning.

Louise is survived by her sons, Jeffrey Lanning and wife Grace of Floresville and Gerald R. Lanning and wife Jean Ann of Austin; her grandchildren, Landyn Lanning and wife Cloe, James Hal Young and wife Kelly, and Deborah Lynn Stone; and her great-grandsons, Andrew, Joseph, and Christopher Young.

Visitation was held Sunday, Dec. 4, from 4-6 p.m. in the Franklin Funeral Home in Floresville.

A graveside funeral service was held Monday at 10 a.m. in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
