He was preceded in death by his parents.

Johnny is survived by his two sons and daughter-in-law, Dennis and wife Janet and Ken. He was a beloved grandfather to Andrew, Alison, Jordan, Kelly, Ryan, Bryan, and Michelle; and great-grandpa to Samuel, Olivia, and Kylie. Johnny is also survived by his longtime companion, Lorene Strzelczyk; his sister, Aline Griffin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held Wednesday, Nov. 30, from 4-9 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia. A rosary was recited at 6:30 p.m.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Thursday, Dec. 1, at 10 a.m. in the St. Ann Catholic Church in La Vernia with Father Stanley Fiuk officiating.
