1940-2011

Delle A. Rohmer, 71, went to be with our Lord on Friday, Nov. 25, 2011. She was born June 24, 1940, in Lakeland, Fla.

Delle was an executive secretary for many years and was also a licensed real estate agent in Georgia and Texas. She was the executive director of the Guadalupe Valley Quarter Horse Breeders Association (GVQHBA), the Alamo Quarter Horse Breeders Association, and the International Salorn Association. Delle was a successful breeder of livestock for many years. Her hobbies were bowling, camping, fishing, and golf. She was a member of Grace Bible Church in Wilson County, Texas. She will be remembered for her generosity and faithful devotion to her family and friends. Delle’s spirit will live in our hearts forever, her family said.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Vera Drew Tillis; her sister, Delois Alderman; and her nephew, Jon Alderman.

Delle is survived by her loving husband, Robert “Bob” Eugene Rohmer Jr.; her daughter, Judi Alvey and husband Tim; her grandchildren, Tyler and Jordan Alvey of Newnan, Ga.; her sisters, Nancy Monteith of Virginia Beach, Va., Barbara Howard of Glendale, Ariz., and Kathy Hinely and husband Bobby of Guyton, Ga.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Delle also had a special love for her animals and left behind her two dogs, Rhode and Katie.

Delle’s family wishes to express their sincere appreciation and thanks to all her doctors, nurses, and caregivers for their compassionate care. The family is also thankful for everyone’s thoughts and prayers.

Visitation was held Friday, Dec. 2, from 5-8 p.m. in the Mission Park Funeral Chapels South in San Antonio.
