Cullen W. “C.W.” McVay Sr. passed away Nov. 18, 2011, in Floresville, Texas, at the age of 77 years, 4 months, and 11 days. He was a native of and a lifelong resident of Floresville. C.W. was born in Floresville on July 7, 1934, to Roy and Clara McVay.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a sister; and a brother.

C.W. is survived by his children, Wanda Messa of San Antonio, Karen Martinez of Poth, Margie Frieda of North Carolina, Sherry Lohse of Floresville, Rodney McVay of Mexico, and Cullen McVay Jr. of Floresville; his sister, Gail Hopkins of Floresville; eight grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

A small family gathering was held in the Franklin Funeral Home in Floresville.

Inurnment will follow at a later date.
