Myriam A. Almanza passed away Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 47 years, 4 months, and 3 days. She was a lifelong resident of San Antonio. She was born in San Antonio on Aug. 4, 1964, to Abraham and Amparo Frausto.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Amparo Garza Frausto.

She is survived by her husband, Charles P. Almanza of San Antonio; her father, Abraham Jose Frausto; her children, Marcella Espinosa and husband William, Nichole Almanza, Nina Almanza, and Nathan Almanza and wife Desire, all of San Antonio; her sisters, Ruthie Frausto of San Antonio, Patricia Frausto of San Antonio, and Loreli Rios and Lillian Carrillo, both of Toluca, Mexico; her brother, Abraham Garza of San Antonio; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A small family gathering was held Thursday, Dec. 8, in the Franklin Funeral Home in Floresville.

Visitation was held Tuesday, Dec. 13, at 6 p.m. in the Cornerstone Church in San Antonio.

A funeral service was held Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the church with the Rev. Boots Lavine officiating.

A graveside service and interment will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Mission Park South Cemetery in San Antonio.

Serving as pallbearers were Nathan Almanza, Robert Almanza Jr., Jeremiah Almanza, Michael Almanza, Phillip Almanza, and William Espinosa.
