CASA VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR, FULL-TIME POSITION. Provides professional staff support to CASA volunteers to ensure that abused children’s best interests are represented in court. Social services experience required.  Responsible for assisting with recruiting and initial training of advocates, and coordinating cases in Wilson County and Karnes County with Atascosa County (home office). Must demonstrate written and presentation communication skills. Must be available to work intermittent evenings/weekends with some travel.  Must have personal car, current TDL, and auto liability insurance. Lavonne (Mazurek) Rose, 56, of Adkins, Texas, passed away Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011. She was born June 6, 1955, the daughter of Irvin Luke and Betty Jean (Pullin) Mazurek.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her “sister,” Debbie Trevino; and soulmate Dick Hayes.

Lavonne is survived by her son, Jason Fogle and wife Daiza of Austin; her daughter, Meghan Phinney and fiancé Collin Newburg of Adkins; her grandchildren, Copelan Roger Fogle of Austin, Jaylon Aris Fogle of Austin, and Hudson Orion Newburg of Adkins; her sisters, Elaine (Mazurek) Stephens and husband Ronny of La Vernia, Shirley Jean (Mazurek) Rhodes and husband Richard of Seguin, and Betti “Sissi” J. Gregoire and husband Roger of New Braunfels; and her brother, Irvin “Bubba” Mazurek.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 17, at 10 a.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Red Cross, 3642 East Houston St., San Antonio, TX 78219-3830; the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 269, Alexandria, VA 22313; or the Alzafar Shrine, 901 North Loop 1604 W., San Antonio, TX 78232-1040.
