ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Juan S. Aguirre, 82, of Falls City, Texas, passed away Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011, in Floresville. He was born May 6, 1929, in Falls City to Dionicio and Eliodia San Miguel Aguirre. Juan was a Catholic by faith. He was a carpenter by trade and an avid fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Cleofas Aguirre and Clemente Aguirre; and sister Genevieve Jaramillo.

Juan is survived by his sisters, Rosa Sanchez of Hobson, Modesta Sanchez of Hermeleigh, Dominga DeHoyos of Artesia, N.M., and Refugia Sanchez of Falls City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A rosary was recited Sunday, Dec. 11, at 7 p.m. in the Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel in Karnes City.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Hobson.

Interment followed in the Falls City Cemetery in Falls City.

Serving as pallbearers were Patrick Cervantes, Paul Jaramillo, Roger Garcia, Kelly Hons, Victor DeHoyos, and Armando Sanchez.

Serving as honorary pallbearers were Ruben Sanchez, Adrian Trevino, Matthew Hons, Kaleb Hons, and Mark Hons.
