Brittany Berg, a graduate of Stockdale High School, is currently a senior at Texas State University in San Marcos. Brittany has joined Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) organization through McCoy College of Business. The organization provides students with the opportunity to get involved in projects that positively impact their local communities.

FEED is one of SIFE’s many projects. Brittany and other members of SIFE taught fifth-grade gifted and talented students from various schools how to run a school store. The elementary students learned about various aspects of running their own business, including funding, monitoring inventory, and marketing products.

“It was an amazing opportunity to see young students actively participating in the world of business,” Brittany said. SIFE also provides an opportunity for college students to learn from and interact with professionals in the world of business, providing valuable experience for future careers.

Students in Free Enterprise is a global, nonprofit organization that is literally changing the world through highly dedicated student teams on more than 1,600 university campuses in 40 countries. SIFE offers these students the opportunity to develop leadership, teamwork, and communication skills through learning, practicing and teaching the principles of free enterprise, thereby improving the standard of living for millions in the process.

For more information about SIFE, visit or contact Sam Walton Fellow Vicki West at or 512-245-3224, SIFE President Lauren Roig at, or Brittany Berg at
