Bea Riedel, 81, died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012, in her home near Gillett, Texas. She was born Feb. 12, 1930, in San Antonio to Angel and Cora Mary (Kline) Barloco.

She was a life member of the San Antonio Livestock Show & Rodeo and a member of the San Antonio Calf Scramble Committee.

Bea was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband since Aug. 31, 1952, Rub Riedel Sr. of Gillett; her son, Rub Riedel Jr. and wife Tina of Seguin; her daughter, Renee Wheat and husband Than of Nixon; and many dear friends.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 11, at 2 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon.
