1935-2012

Linda Lang Fowler of Kenedy, Texas, escaped her earthly body into the beckoning arms of her heavenly Father and her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012. She was born May 12, 1935, in Simonsville to Alfred Henry and Lydia Esther (Simons) Lang, the second of two children.

A spirit-filled nondenominational charismatic Christian by faith, Linda was a devoted wife and loving mother, telephone operator for Southwestern Bell, a respiratory therapist at DeTar Hospital, gas station manager, and longtime Victoria Advocate carrier. She was also an avid gardener and seamstress.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marlon Fowler Sr.; her brother, Herman “Red” Henry Lang; and her grandsons, Jeremy Tumlinson and Joshua Tumlinson.

She is survived by her children, Mack G. Tumlinson Sr. and wife Tracy of New Berlin, Terilynn Tumlinson Zengerle and husband Curtis of Yorktown, Maxie Lee Tumlinson Jr. of Kenedy, and Christianna Tumlinson Steinberg and husband Aaron of Kentucky. In addition, Linda is survived by 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A private, direct burial was held in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Kenedy.
