ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Compensation is at a rate of $200 per week plus $100 per completed and submitted crisis assessment, and mileage. If interested call Camino Real Community Services, 210-357-0359.

Winona “Nonie” Stewart, 75, died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, at her home in Port Neches, Texas. She was born August 25, 1936, in Los Angeles, Texas, and attended the Baptist church.

Nonie was preceded in death by her parents, Carl Clinton Hopson and Nettie Elizabeth (Brown) Hopson Willeford; two brothers, Ed Hopson and Bill Douglas Hopson; and three sisters, Wanda Rose Thompson, Georgia Blades, and Neffie Lee Nicholson.

She is survived by two daughters, Valerie Parks and husband Otis, and Judy Hughes; two sons, Floyd Stewart and wife Sue, and Ricky Stewart and wife Beth; a sister, Doris Virginia Fellers; and a brother, Richard Wiley Hopson. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, Chad Lewis, Athena Lewis, Jacob Lewis, Cary Hughes, Patrick Hughes, Floyd Stewart III, Fred Stewart, Christopher Stewart, Joshua Stewart, Courtney Stewart, and Chelsea Koch; 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; as well as many dear friends.

Viewing and visitation were held Sunday, Jan. 8, from 12:30--1:30 p.m. in the Gillett Cemetery, with a graveside service beginning at 1:30 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
