ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Compensation is at a rate of $200 per week plus $100 per completed and submitted crisis assessment, and mileage. If interested call Camino Real Community Services, 210-357-0359.

1924-2011

Ben B. Jarzombek, 87, passed away Friday, Dec. 30, 2011. Ben was born Nov. 16, 1924, in Poth, Texas. He had lived in San Antonio since 1952.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Theresa “Terry” Jarzombek; his sons, Marvin J. Jarzombek and wife Susan, Andrew W. “Andy” Jarzombek, Benny Jarzombek and wife Cathy, and Donnie D. Jarzombek; his sisters, Stella Bednarz, Mary Lou Rutkowski, and Adeline Jarzombek; his brother, Lucian Jarzombek; his grandchildren, Jessica and husband Travis, Casey, Jacob, Adam, Edward, and Carson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012, from 6-9 p.m. in the Dellcrest Funeral Home in San Antonio, with a rosary recited at 7 p.m.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in San Antonio.

Interment followed in the St. Jerome Cemetery in Martinez.
