The City of Poth is currently accepting applications for the position of Chief of Police. The Chief is responsible for all operational and administrative aspects of the police department, provide patrol, criminal investigations, crime prevention, enforce all laws and ordinances and be responsible for public health and safety. Must be community oriented, have strong public relations skills, strong work ethics, must be physically fit and maintain a professional image while in uniform. A High School Diploma or GED is required. Must have a valid Class C or higher Texas Driverís License. Must be TCLEOSE Master Peace Officer certified and have at least 5 years of experience with law enforcement agency; SWAT, Gang Unit, Narcotics or Detective experience a plus, pass a thorough background check investigation with drug screen and credit check. The City offers benefit package with retirement plan and medical insurance. Salary dependent on qualifications. EOE. Albert and Donna Neubauer of La Vernia, Texas, are proud to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Samantha Nicole, to Christopher Hollis Pierdolla, the son of Hollis and Sharon Pierdolla.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Judy Gunn of San Antonio and the late James Wayne Gunn, and the late Bernice and Albert Neubauer Jr., formerly of San Antonio. Samantha is the great-granddaughter of Rudy Gunn of San Antonio.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Helen Mauer of Robstown and Wilfred Samuel “Sam” Mauer of Corpus Christi, and Fred and Cherry Pierdolla of La Vernia.

Samantha, a 2006 graduate of East Central High School, is a 2010 graduate of Texas State University in San Marcos. She is a first-grade teacher in the New Braunfels Independent School District.

Christopher, a 2005 graduate of La Vernia High School, is a 2009 graduate of Texas Lutheran University in Seguin. He is employed with A-1 Advanced Coating Co. as a marketing/sales director.

The couple plan to wed Saturday, March 10, 2012, in New Braunfels.
