SAN ANTONIO, Texas - January 14, 2012 - Equipment rental company United Rentals is one of many local companies working around the clock in Floresville, Texas, this week, where employees are providing construction equipment and services to Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. The build is part of United Rentals' fifth year of partnership with the award-winning television show, which has relied on the industry leader for equipment and volunteers on more than 80 new home constructions.

The latest project benefits the family of Shiloh Harris, an Army veteran who was severely wounded while serving in Iraq. The United Rentals branch in nearby San Antonio is organizing the delivery of more than 60 pieces of equipment to the site, said Heath Breedlove, branch manager.

³Shiloh Harris has paid a huge price for serving our country, and yet all he thinks about is helping others² Breedlove said. ³This is a family that deserves the best quality of life we can give them. My team feels honored to support this project.²

Diane Korman, Senior Producer of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, said, ³Over 80 projects and more than 5,000 pieces of equipment, United Rentals has come through for us every time. Even in remote locations, United Rentals always has a branch close enough to arrange all the equipment we need, ensure its reliability, and deliver it within a three-hour window. Most importantly, they share our 'safety first' philosophy.²

The episode featuring the Harris family will air on ABC on a date to be announced.

Shiloh Harris suffered catastrophic injuries in Iraq when a bomb tore his truck to shreds. Through many months of painful surgeries and rehabilitation, Shiloh and his wife Kathreyn did more than persevere - they were inspired to help other wounded veterans cope. Shiloh counsels veterans and shares his experiences, and Kathreyn works with the Army Wounded Warrior Program. The Harris' rundown house is harmful to Shiloh, whose burns have left him hyper-sensitive to heat and dust. Now Shiloh and Kathreyn can raise their two young children in a safe, climate-controlled home from Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.
