Lois “Polly” Catherine Dwyer Griesenbeck, 83, of Elmendorf, Texas, walked with our Lord on Friday, Jan. 6, 2012, in the Mission Trail Baptist Hospital in San Antonio. Lois was born Feb. 23, 1928, in San Antonio, the daughter of Edward P. and Purney L. Beard Dwyer.

She was retired from Southside Independent School District as a bus driver and worked in the school cafeteria. Polly was loved and will be missed by many, her family said.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Tony Griesenbeck; her parents; and two sisters.

Polly is survived by her children, Larry Madgewick, Tim Carlton, and Jim Carlton; her stepchildren, Anthony Griesenbeck, John Griesenbeck, Diana Appelt, and Karen Stiles; 19 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and her sisters-in-law, Betty Jo Mutz and Helen Small.

A memorial service will be held in the Glory Bound Baptist Church in Elmendorf at a later date.
