Polly is survived by her children, Larry Madgewick, Tim Carlton, and Jim Carlton; her stepchildren, Anthony Griesenbeck, John Griesenbeck, Diana Appelt, and Karen Stiles; 19 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and her sisters-in-law, Betty Jo Mutz and Helen Small.

A memorial service will be held in the Glory Bound Baptist Church in Elmendorf at a later date.
