ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Poth

Poth Little League will hold three registration sessions for this year’s spring season at the Poth Junior High School gym, beginning Saturday, Jan. 21.

The first session will be Jan. 21 from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. A second session will be held Saturday, Feb. 4, from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.; and the third and final registration date will be Saturday, Feb. 11, from 8:30-10:30 a.m.

The fee is $65 per player, and a copy of each child’s birth certificate is required. The league is also looking for volunteers to serve as coaches and umpires. Opening day is set for Saturday, March 31, and pictures will also be taken that day.

Stockdale

Stockdale Little League will hold registration at the Stockdale City Park concession stand Saturday, Jan. 21; Saturday, Jan. 28; and Saturday, Feb. 4, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The fee is $60 for the first child, and $50 for the second child in the same family. Each child’s birth certificate and proof of residence with a physical address is required at the time of registration.
