The Wilson County Junior Livestock Show will begin Saturday, Jan. 21, with the horse show at 3 p.m. in the Wilson County Show Barn, located off S.H. 97 east of Floresville. Check-in will be held from noon-2 p.m.

Halter classes for mares and geldings will be shown. Classes will be broken down in the following divisions: yearling to 2-year-old halter; 3- to 5-year-old halter; and aged halter horses. These events are open to mares and geldings only.

A showmanship at halter contest will be held in three divisions -- junior (ages 8-11); intermediate (ages 12-14); and senior (ages 15-18).

All Wilson County 4-H and FFA members are eligible to participate.

All breeds of horses are eligible.
