Perhaps we should take a lesson from NBC. NBC restricted the audience participation in last night's debate with Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney, Ron Paul, and Rick Santorum. All clapping, cheering, and booing were stricly forbidden.

Some, including Gingrich, protested that was restricting free speech. Not sure about that, but I do know the debate was excruciatingly boring.

On the other hand, perhaps restricting audience participation is a good idea. I suggest they not have audience participation during the State of the Union speech. ... See what a difference that would make.

Elaine: The reason it was boring is the GOP does not have anyone worth listening to. Bring on Sarah!!
