Twila May McMillan, 89, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, entered rest on Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012. Twila was born in Rice County, Kansas, to Ralph E. Oden and Elizabeth Ann Oden Gore on Nov. 22, 1922.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her two sisters and two brothers; and her husband, Billie J. McMillan.

Twila is survived by her son, David K. McMillan and wife Nora; her daughter, Kathleen Murphrey; her grandchildren, Sean McMillan and wife Dana, Kyle McMillan and wife Denise, Carlos Rios and wife Janet, and Alex Rios and wife Chris; her great-grandchildren, Megan, Jason, Gavin, and Lauren; and her sisters-in-law, Margaret Oden and June Neely.

A funeral service will be held Friday, Jan. 27, at 10 a.m. in the Roy Akers Funeral Chapel in San Antonio, with the Rev. Margaret Decker officiating.

Interment will follow in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.

Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, nephew Pat Godin, great-nephew Matt Byars, and Jim White. Honorary pallbearer will be Ed White.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
