The Children's Alliance of South Texas is seeking a Financial and Grants Manager to join an amazing team of professionals in the fight against child abuse. The Children’s Alliance of South Texas offers services to child victims and their non-offending family members in a 5 county area; Atascosa, Frio, LaSalle, Karnes, and Wilson counties. The Financial and Grants Manager will be charged with conducting the administration and control of all financial records and operations under the supervision of the Executive Director, and is responsible for day to day oversight of financial reporting, cash management, accounts receivable, accounts payable, grants, payroll capital expenditures, and budgeting. 1934-2012

Irene Mattke Anderson, 77, passed away Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, after a brief illness. She was born Oct. 17, 1934, in San Antonio, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Anderson, a San Antonio police officer. Irene was also preceded in death by her father, Oscar Mattke; her mother, Velma (Pierdolla) Mattke; her mother, Pauline (Lenz) Mattke; and her grandparents, John and Mary (Kosub) Pierdolla and Edward and Emma (Lenz) Mattke.

Irene is survived by her daughter, Sharon Anderson Levett and husband Martin Levett, M.D.; her son, James Thomas Anderson; her granddaughters, the joy of her life, Cristanne Levett and Marivelle Levett; her sister, Nancy Mattke Jenkins; her brother, Allen Mattke and wife Mary Ann; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Friday, Feb. 3, at 2:30 p.m. in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
