Barbara and Robert W. Risley Jr. of La Vernia are happy to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Tamara Denise, to Austin Grant Brem. Austin is the son of Barbara and Ryland E. Brem Jr. of San Antonio.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Marlene Graf of San Antonio and the late John “Jack” Graf, and Denny Turner of Abilene and the late Carolyn Turner.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mary Haerr of San Antonio and the late William F. Haerr, and Sara Brem of San Antonio and the late Ryland E. Brem Sr.

Tamara, a 2007 graduate of La Vernia High School, graduated from Texas Lutheran University in 2011 and works as a teacher and assistant director with the Christian Youth Theater.

Austin, a 2008 graduate of Alamo Heights High School, works at King Ranger Theater as a manager and projectionist and will graduate from Texas Lutheran University this year with a degree in communications.

The couple plan to wed Saturday, June 9, 2012, in the St. Peter Prince of the Apostles Church in San Antonio with Father Eddy Morales officiating the ceremony.
