LA VERNIA -- Taste of Chicago Deli & Grill owners Reuben and Barbara Garcia, along with the Bethel Christian Fellowship, will host a fund-raiser for BOLD Ministries on Saturday, Jan. 28, starting at 11 a.m. Plates of turkey, dressing, and all the trimmings will be available for $6 each. Proceeds will benefit BOLD Ministries, based in Sutherland Springs, which plans two crusades in Africa in February.

Taste of Chicago is located at 11984 U.S. 87 W. in La Vernia. Call 830-779-1700 for information on the fund-raiser.

BOLD Ministries invites local help in raising money to assist with its trip to minister in Africa.

The organization seeks old cars or metal to help with funding. The ministry is receptive to hauling off donated items. Robert and Sandra Shaw of Sutherland Springs are asking if there is a farmer or a ministry that wants to help toward the cost of these crusades, to contact Sandra at 830-534-1229 or sandra@bold-ministries.com.

BOLD Ministries will be holding two crusades in Africa during the month of February -- in Monrovia, Liberia, and Kampala, Uganda. Sandra will host a three-day conference with pastors to prepare them for the three nights of crusade in Uganda.

For more information, visit www.bold-ministries.com.
